Prof. Valerio De Luca will participate as Speaker at the World Green Economy Summit that will be held in Dubai on 23-25 October 2017.
He will intervene in the first plenary session that will provide an overview of how green initiatives, government policies, and the UN’s SDGs are driving the shift towards sustainability. Partnership with the Center for Economic Governance and Leadership, University of Kigali (Rwanda)
On June 5th, 2017, Prof. Valerio De Luca[1], Chairman of the International Academy for Social and Economic Development (AISES)[2] and Director of the G.R.E.E.N. Network[3], in his official visit in Kigali signed a Partnership between the G.R.E.E.N Network and the University of Kigali, Center for Economic Governance and Leadership[4].
Prof. Valerio De Luca has delivered a Lectio Magistralis on the topic “Sustainability, Governance and Innovation” at the University of Kigali. The Lectio Magistrali dealt with the most important issues of our time, focusing on the multidimensional view of Sustainability, the new policies that the international community should adopt and the role of innovations in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Valerio De Luca appointed as Visiting Professor at Strathmore Business School
On July 27th 2016, on behalf of Strathmore University, Dr. George Njenga, Dean of Strathmore Business School, was pleased to appoint Prof. Valerio De Luca, AISES President, as Visiting Professor at the Strathmore University Business School, Center for Sustainability Leadership.
This appointment will strengthen the research at Strathmore University and it will provide international exposure to AISES projects and members and to AISES Young – SUFFESA (Strathmore University Finance and Financial Economics Student Association) partnership, which aims at organizing activities such as joint papers and international policy weeks.
The Birth of the Global Sustainability Forum – May 11, 2016
On May 11th 2016, Global Sustainability Forum has been officially registered in Rome at the Office of public notary Dr. Vittorio Occorsio.
GSForum is chaired by Khalid Malik, former Director of the Human Development Report to the United Nations Development Programme, who appointed Valerio De Luca, President of AISES Academy, as Executive Director, Jean-Paul Fitoussi, OECD High Level Expert Group on the measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress, and Pierpaolo Abet, CEO of Universal Trust, as members of the Executive Board.
GSForum is an high-level initiative that aims at stimulating debate on new ideas and pragmatic solutions in order to address shared global challenges and to develop responsible socio-economic engagements, through the building of an effective bridge among leaders, civil society and young people.
GSForum was announced to Pope Francis during the Audience in Saint Peter Square are.
The first meeting will be held in Rome at the beginning of 2017.
GSForum will bring the World into Rome and Rome to the World.
Partnership between AISES and University of Fort Hare – President De Luca visits South Africa
5/10/2015 - Last week AISES President, Prof. Valerio De Luca, visited South Africa with the South African Ambassador in Rome, Nomatemba Tambo.
The university of Fort Hare represents a centre of excellence in which a Nobel Prize Winner, Nelson Mandela, and several Head of States and members of institutions were educated to a visionary and effective leadership.
Today we are pleased to announce an agreement for education, research and international exchange programme between the International Academy AISES and the University of Fort Hare. More details of the agreement will be provided in subsequent communications.
